Autumn is here and it's our favorite time for cooking at the soup kitchen. Enough of the summer salads and grilled dishes, we can't wait to fire up the ovens. A few weeks back we made homemade chicken pot pies with little pastry tops. A little cranberry bread was on the side!
Crowds at our church's soup kitchen are growing and with Thanksgiving upon us...we are already busy planning. Our helpers are busy getting ready to roast the turkeys and bake the pumpkin pies. Sides will be prepared the day of the dinner. We just love, love, love this time of year.
